Live With the Questions

Live With the Questions

x

I think most times we are too focused on working together as a whole, that we forget it is exactly us individuals that make up a whole, and first, we got to understand ourselves and our own lives. We will never make a good whole if the individuals are unsettled by themselves. Sure, there are many books and lessons out there that can help us be better people. But one of the bigger questions is, do we want to be?

Who We Are

How we treat others is a definite measure of who we are as people, and most of us are unconscious of it. We pass through life on autopilot, doing the same routine day in and day out without really knowing why. Also not truly caring for others because everything should be about us and us alone. We are blind to others, least of all ourselves.

Remember to ask Questions

Why should we not live life on purpose? And must we demand explanations for everything we do not understand? It is well put by poet Rainer Maria Rilke:

Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.

Rainer Maria Rilke

Sometimes it might be difficult to live without a logical answer, but if we can let it go and purely experience it fully without the whys, Life would be so colourful and fulfilling. To be kind and care for others is to be kind and care for yourself. It’s sometimes difficult to remember that we are all in this together and the way to go is to help each other out. We can do so much better together.
